Item description
Vintage 1950s Apco Drunk Man Hobo Lamppost Bar 13" Table Lamp
This old "bar" lamp features a drunkard holding a liquor bottle hanging against a street light post. His nose allows for a small light bulb (not included) - traditionally a red bulb is used. The top does not have the glass shade, but you could refurbish it with your own. Made by Apco in the 1950s, the figurine is porcelain ceramic atop a metal base. Measures 13" top to bottom. A great restoration project or as-is rustic display piece!
The physical condition is as you see in the photographs. The figurine can come off the base - probably best to re-glue it. The chrome on the base is peeling and rust can be seen. The off, on-nose light only, on top only, both lights on, then all off again functions work perfectly. As with all old electrical, if regular un-supervised use is expected, it should be upgraded to today's safer wiring. Bulbs not included.
