This is a vintage metal religious accent lamp from the 1930s, featuring Jesus Christ with his arms outstretched. The lamp has a silver color and is designed to be a sacred heart lamp. It is made in the United States and is a unique and rare collectible lighting piece.
The item is a vintage religious lamp from the 1930s, specifically featuring a statue of Jesus with the Sacred Heart. ?Sacred Heart? inscribed on base.
It holds a light bulb (not included) with and has an electric cord. There is a slot in base and a clip by bulb which may have originally held some kind of shade. Bulb shown in photos is to show that lamp works- an Edison style bulb would be preferable!
The lamp's base and the statue are made of a heavy cast metal.
The original bulb may be an Emerson Crucifix Light Bulb, which was designed for 220V and is intended for display purposes only in the US due to the standard 110V
These lamps were produced from the 1930s through the 1970s and were known for their decorative filaments.
The statue depicts Jesus with outstretched arms and the Sacred Heart emblem on his chest.
