Kazuo Kudo - Oil On Canvas Painting - and 50 similar items

This is for a very hard to get oil on canvas by artist Kazuo Kudo. This is titled "Fishing Port" featuring his famous redfish fisherman. Our proud fisherman is on a dock posing with his prized catch. His friends are busy behind him. The wheelhouse of a fishing boat(porthole windows) is in the distance. Kudo has revisited this scene several times with variations to the people and backgrounds. He made about one of these per year. Whenever one comes up for sale they sell right away. This is signed twice with 'K Kudo' on the front along with his name and the painting's title, in Japanese calligraphy, on the back of the canvas. This is framed with glass on the front and a cover on the back and a cotton hanging cord which is common with Japanese framing. This is heavy for it's size. *If you are new to fine art note that the famous 'brand name' painters are just that, brand names. The famous names have all been hyped, by the art world and museums, to a certain extent. Great original paintings like this one are actually very affordable. This is what fine art actually costs. The majority of true masters are not brand names. Over time it all increases in value so buy what you like. Also, don't sit there with art that you don't even look at anymore.
