Item description
This is for an antique painting of a battle scene signed Wojciech Kossak 1901. This shows an epic fight with horses, swords, a cannon and cannonballs. There is also writing on the back that I cannot read.
This appears to be what is called a "study" which is an initial smaller piece painted by the artist before committing to a larger piece.
The condition shows paint chips all around the edges which a frame would hide. There are also chips and cracking on the image.
