Item description
Developed in California in the 1930s and named after Dr. H.F. Pierce, who selected it from seed originally sourced from
Mexico. The Pierce Cherimoya became widely cultivated in Southern California
for its excellent flavor and productivity.
The
Pierce Cherimoya is consistently rated among the top-tasting cherimoyas and ideal for home orchards due to its productivity,
flavor, and adaptability.
It is used as a top-working rootstock for other
cherimoya varieties due to its vigor and fruit quality.
Best in USDA zones 9?11 and 15?30 feet tall at maturity.
Plants are grafted in liner tubes. Tubes are 9" and the plant itself is approx 12"-16"+ tall.
