? The Noren represents The Great Wave, originally designed by Japanese artist Hokusai, published sometime between 1829 and 1833. It is Hokusai's most famous work, depicting a view of Mount Fuji, where an enormous series of waves threaten three boats off the coast of Kanagawa. One of the most striking feature of the painting is the dramatic use of the Berlin blue pigment color.
