Ninth Plate Daguerreotype of Identified Little Boy in Separated Union Case
The boy identified in the photo is John Ryley (March 18, 1852-March 20, 1892). John lived in Clarkston, Rockland County, New York where he was the Justice of the Peace. He married Sophia Frances Haring (1850-1914) on August 4, 1875. They had 3 daughters: Edna, Mabel, and Carrie, and a son, Willie who passed away at 4 years old.
John was a member of the Clarkstown Reformed Church. He passed away at age 40 from pneumonia.
