Original 1969 First Man on the Moon First Day Cover (FDC) featuring the official 10 U.S. airmail stamp (Scott C76) canceled in Washington, D.C. on September 9, 1969 ? the official First Day of Issue. Cacheted with the rare ?Motorola was there? design, commemorating Motorola?s role in the Apollo 11 mission.
This collectible cover includes four additional U.S. space stamps:
4 Project Mercury (Scott 1193) ? John Glenn?s orbital flight
6 Apollo 8 Earthrise (Scott 1371) ? First manned moon orbit
5 Astronaut and Capsule se-tenant pair (Scott 1331?1332) ? Gemini-era
Also features a dual cancel with a commemorative ?Moon Landing ? July 20, 1969 USA? postmark.
This is an excellent example of a historic space race collectible, ideal for fans of NASA, Apollo missions, and U.S. postal history.
