'This is Murder' by Charles J Kenny, which was written by Erle Stanley Gardner. Published by William Morrow in 1935. First edition book in the original publisher?s black cloth stamped on the front cover and spine in red. A square tight copy with firm unbroken hinges and clean unmarked interior pages. A near fine to fine copy. Included with this book is the original William Morrow dust jacket with some wear and chipping as shown in in my photographs. The verso of the jacket has cello tape as shown. Some small areas of cello tape remain on the outside of the cover. The dust jacket will come with a removable clear archival Mylar jacket protector. If more photos are needed I will be happy to provide them for you The original first edition dust jacket is very elusive. This jacket is a good plus specimen, but even so, rare and extremely desirable. (The jacket should have restoration done by a professional archivist and a clamshell case made to protect this rarity. I?m the event this book is unsold this will be done) From our research even Gardner had difficulty in obtaining a jacketed copy. Ten or eleven copies in jackets are in various institutions. This copy was part of the collection of The Erie Stanley Gardner Museum in Ventura, California where Gardner wrote for the pulp magazines, practiced law, and penned the first two Perry Mason mystery books.
