El anverso muestra prominentemente iniciales cirílicas entrelazadas debajo de la Corona Imperial, conmemorando el reinado del zar Alejandro III, con la fecha 1883 que marca la solemne ceremonia religiosa?. Esta fecha tambien coincide con el año de coronacion de Alejandro III, fortaleciendo la asociacion del medallon con una autoridad imperial renovada basada en la fe ortodoxa.El reverso presenta una representacion muy detallada de la Catedral, enmarcada con inscripciones eclesiasticas, incluida la frase "????? ?? ??? ???????????? ???", AFIRMANDO LA IMPORTANCIA ESPIRITUAL. Construida para honrar la victoria de Rusia sobre Napoleon y completada decadas mas tarde, la catedral se erigio como un símbolo de proteccion divina y resistencia imperial.
