Esta medalla de Bremen conmemora un hito importante en la historia de la aviacion: el primer vuelo transatlantico de este a oeste, que tuvo lugar del 12 al 13 de abril de 1928. El anverso presenta las semejanzas de tres figuras clave de este evento historico: el piloto irlandes James Fitzmaurice, el piloto aleman Hermann Kohl y el financiero y copiloto aleman Baron Guenther von Hünefeld. Estos hombres dejaron su huella en la historia con su audaz vuelo a bordo del "Bremen", que aterrizo con exito en Greenly Island en Canada despues de cruzar el Oceano Atlantico desde Irlanda. El reverso de la medalla representa al "Bremen" elevandose sobre las nubes y el oceano, acompañado por la inscripcion "Ein Wille - ein Tat - ein Sieg" (Una voluntad - una accion - una victoria), que simboliza la determinacion, el coraje y el triunfo de este extraordinario viaje. Aunque recien acuñada, esta medalla tiene un tremendo significado historico y un diseño exquisito, por lo que es una valiosa adicion a cualquier coleccion.
