Item description
About 4 3/8" tall, embroidered on a mesh backed yellow felt. The main art is the Stone family crest, with name at top and bad spelling at the bottom. I have had this awhile and wondered about it, in that time have not seen another like it for comparison. Very Good condition, slight wear from being in another seller's patch bin, I think at most you would want to wash it. Thomas Stone was one of the Founding Fathers and I think this probably relates to the US ship of that name which was sunk in WWII, fortunately all personnel were removed. Looks like an English made patch to me and I wouldn't want to begin to guess when it was made, although no it is not WWII vintage, I will go that far.
"Latin is a language as old as it can be. It killed off all the Romans and now it's killing me". It should be Vive Ut Vivas at the bottom not "Ug" it means "live life to the fullest". Error coins come at a premium but I don't think that is the case for patches. It has been here long enough so the price asked is low, it still looks good and it is very scarce. I have not in years found another like it either with incorrect or correct motto.
Free shipping to USA anywhere else $2.00.
