In its natural habitat, this fir can grow to heights of 60 to 80 feet. It flourishes in USDA zones 5 to 7, and Zone 8 in the Pacific Northwest. Considered tougher and grows faster than Nordmann Fir Turkish Fir is known for it's shape, fragrance, and dark blue-green evergreen needles that have a silvery underside. Branches are strong and well spaced, making it a poplar Christmas trees. Also makes a outstanding specimen tree for the landscape and is excellent for windbreaks. Best Grown in full sun to part shade. Great Choice for Christmas tree growers looking for a more resilient evergreens in hotter locations, including the Southwest, Texas, Utah, or the Southern inland part of California.
