Uses a standard base screw-in bulb of up to 150W that is controlled by an on/off dimmer switch located on the outside of the bulb socket base. The extra long 8' heavy duty cord is UL rated to ensure safe operation. Overall dimensions of the lamp from top of the finial to bottom of the base = 32", and the base measures 12" diameter. The widest part of the lamp's body measures approximately 15" diameter. The bare lamp weighs approximately 15 1/2 pounds.
