Item description
If you are the lucky winner of this listing, you will receive
This Vintage "The Melodier" phonograph record player
The unit is a rare diamond shape design that I have never seen before.
It is in good condition considering it's age (I think 40s). I believe it is made out of some early
fiberglass (see inside photos - ribbed) and the motor still works and turns the turntable.
Because of the material of the case, the swing arm had sagged to the inside of the case and
would contact the platter. I added a 3/8 thick plastic white cap to elevate it so that it did not do this.
The only thing missing was a needle, I looked up early needle pictures and found out they were
made of steel, so I made one. Try it on some old 45 record I had. The sound came out the front
of the case even through there are no speakers, but it was not the correct speed for a 45.
I believe that the unit was made for 78s only because of it's age.
I except Pay-pal - and payment is due within two days from end of auction.
I will ship continental U.S. ONLY - NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Buyer to pay $ 24.99 shipping (U.S.P.S.) .
