Illustrations, stories and poems from the era, alongside an academic primer all bound together by "Uncle Herbert", the editor behind other notable publications of the day including "The Prattler", "Playmate" and "Budget" Condition: Pages are in very good, unmarked condition with minor blemishes. Has a gift inscription from 1882 on first blank page. Cover shows wear, with chipping and rubbing to picture on front cover. Edges and corners are worn. Binding is intact, but has wear on inside of front and back cover and slight rolling. Overall, book is in very good condition for age.
