This is a 1936 antiquarian edition of "Secret Marriage" by Kathleen Norris, Palo Alto Edition, published by P.F. Collier Son Corporation of New York, clothbound hardcover, 320 pages. This vintage novel is about a woman stuck in a loveless marriage of convenience who falls in love with another man. Its an interesting take on women in the 1930s where divorce wasn't often an option open to them. The vintage book was found in an old house in Virginia and likely has been there since it was purchased in the 1930s. Its in fair condition with the pages clean. There is shelf wear on the cover, spine and around the edges. The binding has begun to separate. (See photos). There are a couple of handwritten notes on interior pages.
