Item description

This is a 1947 copy of "Recommended Practice and Standard Specifications for Concrete and Reinforced Concrete", a report by the Joint Committee on Standard Specifications for Concrete and Reinforced Concrete, 4th Printing, submitted by the Portland Cement Association of Chicago, IL. The softcover, 140 page volume is in good shape for its age. Cover, binding and pages are clean and tight. The cover does exhibit signs of wear, especially around edges and corners and along the binding. (See photos) The book was originally purchased as a textbook by my structural engineer father-in-law who'd just returned from WWII and was attending the University of South Carolina on the GI Bill.
