1969, later printing, Doubleday, NY. Hardcover volume, 214 page autobiography of a famous evangelist. There have been many unusual evangelists, some of them featured in the headlines of the day. Bob Harrington became the reverend of New Orleans Bourbon Street, a place Billy Graham called "the middle of Hell." Here is the story of an Alabama country boy who became "a man on fire for God." He certainly picked the place for it, as his church was attended by dope addicts, prostitutes, gangsters, and the leavings of rough New Orleans. This tale has genuine excitement and will certainly resonate with the many colorful characters presented.
