TESTED! Estate Found and from Original Owner! The Doors: Other Voices Elektra Records ET8-5017 1st Stereo Release 8-Track STEREO 1971 Talk about a Fantastic 'lil piece of media from The Doors 7th studio album Other Voices. This is the first album released posthumous after Jim's death July of '71. This album would be released in October of that year despite much of the album already haven been recorded in studio without Jim's vocals, as he was living in Paris at the time of his death. Though it's intensity and feeling that is THE DOORS, and as it is a fantastic album... It always feels like you're waiting for Jim to begin song though it never comes. Imagine watching a live show, the band playing. Jim, lets just say, is too messed up to play. The band is just killing it. Jim grabs the mic as if he were to sing. He refrains. Band is just tearing it up! Jim looks as if he begins to sing again. Pulls his face away from the mic. So on and so forth... As much as it seems like I'm trying not to sell you on this, I am. It's such an interesting departure knowing the circumstances how much a singer, rather lack there of in this instance, can make your sound instaneously recognized, yet without, can often make "your sound" like that of other within a same niche or genre. It truly is a fantastic record in that sense of you grab yourself that glass of bourbon and just LISTEN to how different it is without that "key player" that was their poster child, as it where. It makes you think many things, but I digress... (I also realized I put the tape in backwards into the sleeve before listing HQ! WHITE SIDE is the front, black side, back) I'd wager this 8-track wasn't too TOO much! Cartridge is EX The cart itself shows NEXT TO no exterior wear, MINOR... MINOR wear do to age, keep, or use. Heads and Roller are EX As shown in photos Fidelity also reflects this. I only play tested it for a bit and it sounds fantastic on MY main Hi-Fi rig! The tape itself is also mighty fine. Labels are VG+ These are pretty good all things considered. For maybe every few made, a feel will look like this. Thats what happens. Minor label bubbling both sides. Good font types and front Label photo. Sleeve is VG+ OG sleevage, big hoss! Great luster. Minor rubbing and tiny creases, as in areas as show in photos (If Applicable) All my media is cleaned prior to Audio Testing and Sale. Some items MAY be refurbished/ conserved (to the ABSOLUTE best of my ability), though I will make note IF I have AND WILL make that VERY CLEAR as what what I've done to improve any given item from it's previous ownership or found condition. All records are cleaned using the Degritter Sonic Cleaner prior to Audio Testing/Sale and are also given NEW, STRAIGHT FROM THE PACKAGE, 3Mil Archival Outters and Rice Paper Inners!
