They also work as the perfect shade and can be fed to sheep and goats as additional forage, since they are non-toxic to livestock. Our Austree Willow Tree Hybrids grow extremely fast and are disease resistant. They can easily grow 10 to 15 feet each of the first few years with little to no care and are perfect for almost all soil conditions. These trees also love being moist and will flourish quicker if they are regularly supplied with water such as a nearby stream. Austree Willow Tree Hybrids can even grow more than 15 feet in a year under the proper conditions that include fertile soil, sufficient water supply, and enough sunlight. There are a couple of options to grow these trees: free-standing shade trees or bushy hedges, depending on the way they are trimmed. However, if you prefer a straight tree trunk, you will need to remove all but one of the branches, and this will become the main trunk.
