Item description

Probably coin silver but not hallmarked as such. Hall and Elton did mostly coin silver and german silver items in the 1840's. There was another Hall Elton that went by Hall, Elton Co that did more silverplate. This seems to be the former but we cannot verify. What we can tell you is that this is a shovel spoon probably used for sugar or more likely salt as salt was in a bowl and sugar was in the form of cubes more often that not. Still it is the perfect size to pick up one cube. Will ship USPS with tracking to winning buyer.
