Item description

Rare item. We are guessing this to be an antique horse tie out ring for granite or stone hitching posts? Could also be nautical? or for anchoring cannons or ships into stone bases? We have no idea, and we welcome comments. Great for authentic restorations of your historical building hitching post! Was old and dusty, we cleaned the grime off it. Could be wheel polished if you want it more shiny. Barn/flea market find so date unknown Looks to be hand forged or primitively formed as it is not uniform.. Looks to be solid brass (or copper?) Lots of iron ones online but do not see many brass ones.
