A lovely little box to store, well whatever desired, some sewing gear, jewellery such as rings and earrings or for bon bons for example. The box is entirely silver other than the hinge pin which is brass, everything else is silver. Solid sterling silver, very white and takes on a great polish that shows the detail beautifully. The piece is exquisitely detailed with elephants and the flora of where the Indian elephants roam.
