Item description

Antique Real Photo Postcard, circa 1920s. Depicting a very rare, birds-eye view of the Arrowhead Valley Club in the San Bernardino Mountains of California. Divided back, AZO stampbox, unused. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition, with "Old Store" handwritten on the roof of the building on the left. Comments: Arrowhead Valley Club was said to be a Members Only resort in the rugged mountains outside of San Bernardino. It was located east of Los Angeles near the town of Crestline. Created in the early 1920s, the club also had a man made lake, Moon Lake, available for water activities of all sorts. Cabins were nestled in the pine trees on the hill behind the clubhouse. In the late 1930s the club closed, and the land was sold. This postcard catches a different side of life in the Great Depression era.
