Item description

(25) Twenty-Five Antique Black White Snapshot Photographs. Depicting scenes from Bryce Canyon National Park, including: The legenday hotel maid staff, tour bus, and an array of the stunning hoodoo formations. Photos are all blank on the back. Various sizes. Condition: These are real snapshots, circa late 1930s to early 1940s. They are not modern copies or reproductions. They are in excellent condition, having come directly from a family photo album assembled during a trip to the National Parks and other locations. Comments: Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park of the United States located in southwestern Utah. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon, which despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rock. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors.
