This Burger Betchdorf Ceramic Mug sports a rustic design that stays current over time, and is sleek and simple. It has a feminine look with the floral hand painted flourishes however it is a hefty weight and has a pitted surface, which lends itself to more of a manly appeal. The pitting on the surface is due to the salt glazed technique in which salt tends to be corrosive and so the surface has smooth pitting all over it. This creates a rustic and primitive look and feel. There are no flaws in this piece we are happy to say. It is colored a light grey, with blue and green hand painted floral accents over 1/2 the surface with a few splashes on the back by the handle.
