Vintage original U.S. presskit from the popular comedy/action adventure thriller, CHARLIE’S ANGELS, released in 2000 by Columbia Pictures and directed by McG. The captivating crime-fighting trio (Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu) are the masters of disguise, espionage and martial arts. When a devious mastermind embroils them in a plot to destroy individual privacy, the Angels, aided by their loyal sidekick Bosley (Bill Murray), set out to bring down the bad guys. But when a terrible secret is revealed, it makes the Angels targets for assassination. This vintage original press kit was issued to the press and media to publicize the film before it went into its initial U.S. theatrical release in 2001. It consists of: - a 2-pocket folder that measures 9 x 12 inches when closed; - 32 color slides/transparencies; - 11 8x10 black-and-white photographs (the photo depicted of Lucy Liu holding a chain is cut-off at the bottom in our scan but has credits at the bottom like the rest of the photos); - a 32-page booklet with production, cast and crew information; and - a 16-page booklet with detailed cast, crew and song information The front cover depicts full-length images of the three Angels and is similar in design to the corresponding one-sheet movie poster. It opens to reveal two pockets. The pocket on the left contains two information packets: 1) a 32-page booklet on 8-1/2 x 11 paper stapled in the top left corner with detailed information on the making of this film as well as the cast and crew; and 2) a 16-page booklet also on 8-1/2 x 111 paper stapled in the top left corner with a complete listing of the cast and crew as well as all of the songs that were used in the film. Also included are 32 color slides/transparencies with images of great scenes from the film as well as various shots of the cast. Also included are 11 8x10 black-and-white matte photographs depicting great publicity shots of the cast as well as several scene photos which come with the original paper sleeve with the film’s title on the front. To the best of our knowledge, this vintage original U.S. press kit is complete. It is in very fine+ condition with only several creases on the top left corner of the first page of the 32-page booklet.
