Item description

THE SPECIALTY OF THE HOUSE by Stanley Ellin The Mysterious Press. 1979 Condition: Near Fine in VG+ to NF dj This book collects all 35 of Ellin's mystery tales, from 1948 to 1978. All but one originally appeared in ELLERY QUEEN'S MYSTERY MAGAZINE. Seven of them have won awards, three others have been nominated. Some are familiar from their adaptations on the ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS TV series. This volume has been called "the best collection of stories in the crime form published in the past half century". 557 pages. This tight, unmarked copy of the trade edition has just slight shelf wear; the jacket has modest edge wear. An uncommon title.
