Here is an outstanding example of a work by the important naive artist George Bacon Wood Jr., purchased from an estate in Philadelphia in the early 2000s. Eight of the photos are reproduced from the pages of the magazine American Art and Antiques October 1979. The last photo is a page from an October 1992 catalog from the Schwarz Gallery in Philadelphia. Woods paintings are very scarce. Oil on canvas 24" x 16, signed and dated 1909.
