From the Estate of Rosilie Brady 1968 Original Francis Bacon Oil on Board Painting, Owner Believed Authentic. Signed on back, Dated, Francis Bacon painting comes from the collection of Rosalie Bradley, it was purchased at the La Cienega art show in Los Angeles in 1968. She purchased 17 Francis Bacon paintings at that show, and has had them in her collection ever since, Upon her death the estate sold her collection. In 1968, Francis Bacon visited New York for the first time, his existing paintings were being shown at the Marlborough gallery, and, while critics were divided, he is known to have done dozens of portraits while in New York, many of which appeared at the La Cienega Art Show in Los Angeles in 1968. The original signature on back was scanned By Steven Hill, art expert and computer matched to within 95% of known Bacon signatures, and according to Hill the pigments are within Bacon's known palette.
