This lamp shade has a clear glass hobnail design around the top and bottom of the shade as trim. The main body of the shade is a pale blue basketweave design with 4 oval starburst medallions intermingled at north, south, east and west. The top of the piece is a clear hobnail design with the finial in the center and made of metal. The harp is intact and also complete inside the globe and the piece can sit right onto your own lamp base. It will take one of the new style bulbs. I think this would look very attractive on a plain glass lamp base. The bottom of the shade is 5 1/2 inches across and the top is 4 3/4 across. It is 6 inches high, including the finial, but not including the electrical piece that sticks out of the bottom that attaches to your lamp. It is about 40 ounces in weight. I have had this for years and have been looking for the perfect lamp, but now that I have a smaller home I just don't have room for another thing. It needs a good home.
