Although I have not done any silver smithing for years I prefer jewelry set in sterling to wire wrap. That said, I will wire wrap complex stones such as crystals, fuzzy malachite and combinations of stones with either sterling silvert wire or gold-filled wire. I usually use the wire to hold the stone letting the stone speak for itself. In creating this beautiful and unique pendant I combined a tabby quartz crystal and gold-filled wire. The crystal has one larger point and a numerous small points. The pendant is 2 1/8" including the bail. Cute curly wire twists makes for one of a kind pendant!
