#33 in the series. Grosset and Dunlap picture cover book. Author was William Dougherty writing under the house pseudonym "Franklin W. Dixon." Cover art by Rudy Nappi. Copyright 1953, released in early 1954. Revised 1971. This is the original, 25-chapter unrevised text. Print run Carpentieri-coded 1955A-3, the third printing. The last title in internal list is The Hooded Hawk (1954). Very good tan tweed book with very sturdy spine and hinges. Orange Gretta endpapers. A small ownership label on the title page and a larger ownership sticker on the pretitle page. No other writing/markings. Very nice dust jacket with good color retention and some edgewear, worst at spine top. Front flap lists to the next book, The Hooded Hawk. Rear flap lists to Tom Swift and his Giant Robot (1954). Rear of jacket lists to Tom Corbett, Space Cadet, Sabotage in Space. Nice book, now protected in mylar. Note to New York State residents: an 8.75% sales tax applies. HBB33
