This large vintage watercolor painting of hanging fruit has that 1940s-50s feel to it, and I believe it dates from that early mcm period, but is mid century for sure. This is a nice large size piece of art work that would fill a spot on a dining room or kitchen wall well. The framed size is 31.25 x 23.75 inches. The opening in the mat is 14.5 x 21.5" so the watercolor would be a little larger than that opening. Condition: The painting itself has been protected under glass for a long time.. The matting shows its age with yellowing and fading. The wood frame is in decent condition for its age, but it has normal surface flaws, but is whole intact with no broken or missing pieces, mainly just surface wear in spots and corners not as tight as they may have once been. The colors are lovely with bits of plum and peach against greens and blue grapes and white flower and the hanging still life form is unusual.
