This tag, junior reading system is in very good Preloved condition, however, I believe the screw is missing from the front of the tag reader. You could purchase a new screw if you are concerned. The inside has a spot for the batteries with a band across it that makes it difficult to get the batteries off so it would be difficult for a child to remove the batteries. two AA batteries not included. Tested and works great.
