Ford has ceased production of this cable which has resulted in some enthusiasts going without. Some individuals suggest using a cable that is very similar, however it is not the direct replacement you had hoped for. To perform the full conversion, you will need two of these cables. The cable(s) you will receive are in fact an exact reproduction parking brake cable (M-2809-A) as it was offered in the Ford Racing M-2300-K 5-LUG FRONT/REAR SUPER HEAVY-DUTY "COBRA" DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KIT. The kit was first used on the 1993 Mustang Cobra R (Five lug axles). Included, you will receive clip necessary to anchor the cable to the rear caliper. Other retailers suggest they have the only replacement cable available on the market. This is false. Not only is their cable not made in the USA, it is not identical in length, does not exceed the material quality of the original, is not backed by a LIFETIME WARRANTY and it's also more expensive.
