OLD PHOTOGRAPH ~ POLITICAL SATIRE / LOCAL POLITICIAN LAMPOON ~ Americana 1950 Estate sale find. Dated on the back, 1950, this item appears to be an original photograph of a group of American funsters, getting together to either promote or lampoon a local politician, maybe in the run up to a local election of some sort... Lots of references to concerns of the mid-century era are visible on the homemade placards on display, the New Deal being presented as the Raw Deal and so on and so on...the politician may have been called Slicker, as this is mentioned twice, but then again, who knows... They all appear to be in some sort of fancy dress, good naturedly playing along with the shenanigans. In good condition, the usual signs of storage and age. The top right corner has a small section torn off, there are no creases, but the item is slightly wrinkled. Check the pictures carefully, Black and white photograph, original.
