Provenance: We purchased the Dracula ring from QMx IN 2007. Product Description: QMX located the original Dracula Crest ring in the collection of science fiction collector Forest Ackerman. QMX was allowed to mold this unique prop replica. The mold is made from the original Prop Ring, documentation, photographs and measurements. It is a size 9 as this is a direct pull from the "original prop ring". This resulted in the platinum master mold from which the Prop Ring was pulled. Originally slated for 1931 units worldwide, QMX produced less than 200 pieces worldwide making this an extremely rare piece of Dracula history. The certificate of Authenticity states that Lugosi wore the ring in the 1931 film. Realizing their error, Universal QMX ceased production of the most authentic cast ever created, making the piece even more unique and valuable to fans and collectors.
