Up for sale is this very lovely set vintage carnival glass pitcher with 6 tumbler set. Marigold color, rusted effect fire-on golden brown iridescent finish. Not sure of the pattern, but the original owner believe these are from Fenton. They are unsigned and on the side you can see a straw mark which makes me believe this is an oder piece. I still need to find the reference and validate the maker and date, but I figured this is just part of the fun . I learned so much all these years being aner. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Does not show any signs of wear at all except wear marks on the bottom for sitting around for decades. What's rare about this set is the lid -- I have not seen one out there at all -- they are probably broken over the years. Pitcher is 9 inches tall without the lid and 11 1/2 with the lid on. tumblers are 4 5/8 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches across the flared lip. Very elegnat set and will be a great set for your home. Hey look! I did get some clue from a fellower who pointed out the name of the pattern, which is tree bark and the maker is most likely Jeanette. Very hard to find a pitcher with a lid and you do need a lid for apple cider. As a glass collector, you may not have a special interest in carnival glass or tree bark pattern at all as it was utilitarian oriented, but this is a very rare design and complete with lid. This should go to a grand collection and be the symbol of the pattern.
