Item description

We are selling seeds of Rosa galica officinalis (Old Red Damask Rose) and Rosa Canina (Dog Rose), you can choose the type of rose and the differents amount you would llike in variations. Rosa galica officinalis (Old Red Damask Rose) Rosa gallica, the Gallic rose, French rose, or rose of Provins, is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, native to southern and central Europe eastwards to Turkey and the Caucasus. It was one of the first species of rose to be cultivated in central Europe. It was cultivated by the Greek and Romans and commonly used in mediaeval gardens. Until the 19th century it was the most important species of rose to be cultivated, and most modern European rose cultivars have at least a small contribution from R. gallica in their ancestry. Rosa gallica is easily cultivated on well drained soil in full sun to semishade; it can survive temperatures down to ?25 C. Rosa Canina (Dog Rose) Rosa canina, commonly known as the dog rose, is a variable climbing, wild rose species native toEurope, northwest Africa, and western Asia. It is a deciduous shrub normally ranging in height from 1?5 metres (3.3?16.4 ft), though sometimes it can scramble higher into the crowns of taller trees. Its stems are covered with small, sharp, hooked prickles, which aid it in climbing. The leaves are pinnate, with 5?7 leaflets. The flowers are usually pale pink, but can vary between a deep pink and white. They are 4?6 centimetres (1.6?2.4 in) in diameter with five petals, and mature into an oval, 1.5?2-centimetre (0.59?0.79 in), red-orange fruit or hip.
