Vintage original 47 x 31.5 in. French poster for the classic 1940s war-themed comedy/drama, CLUNY BROWN, released in 1947 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by Ernst Lubitsch, in which a free-spirited parlor maid and a Czech refugee surprise an English village with their unconventional ways. The cast includes Charles Boyer, Jennifer Jones, Peter Lawford, Helen Walker, Reginald Gardiner, Reginald Owen, C. Aubrey Smith, and Richard Haydn.
Printed for the film's theatrical re-release in France in, we believe, 1995, the film's title is outlined in beautiful gold ink at the top. It is unrestored and folded as originally issued in fine+ condition as shown.
