Item description
Vintage original 7 x 9 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the popular 1970's version of Alexandre Dumas' classic action/adventure drama/romance, THE THREE MUSKETEERS, released in 1973 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by Richard Lester. The cast includes Michael York, Oliver Reed, Raquel Welch, Faye Dunaway, Richard Chamberlain, Frank Finlay, Christopher Lee, Geraldine Chaplin, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Spike Milligan, Roy Kinnear, and Charlton Heston.
The image features a close shot of the scheming Milady (Faye Dunaway), a spy for the cunning Cardinal Richelieu. Affixed to the bottom of the verso (which has subsequently come loose) is the original paper snipe that folds over and which describes the image. It is in very fine condition as shown.
Provenance: The Hearst Los Angeles Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
