Item description
This is an antique AB (connected) aqua beer bottle, embossed on the bottom with an interconnected A-B above "T 34". There are several "expert" opinions on the maker of these bottles, waffling between the Adolphus Busch Glass Company beginning around 1892, and the American Bottle Company, which was affiliated with Adolphus Busch, with a date range of 1906 to 1909. This type of crown-top, mold formed bottle was used almost exclusively for beer. My father, an avid bottle digger, discovered this vintage beer bottle in the ruins of an old homestead in Virginia more than 40 years ago. Its in great shape, free from breaks or cracks. Clarity and color are nice for a dug bottle. If the bottle appears slightly askew in the photos, its not the photos, its the bottle itself being slightly off-center. The bottom of the bottle has varying thickness, another manufacturing flaw and indicator of its age. There are number air bubbles in the light blue glass. It measures about 9.75" tall and 2.75" wide.
Note: This is an empty bottle sold for collector purposes.
