In 1990, The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, thier first year of eligibility. Their display describes them as "Prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of world's Greatest Rock Bank". In 2008, surviving members Townshed and Daltrey wer honoured at the 31st Annual Kennedy Center Honors. From the original members: Vocalist, Roger Daltrey, Guiatarist, Pete Townshend, Bassist, John Entwistle and Drummer, Keith Moon, Moon died at age 32 in 1978 and Entwistle died at age 57 in 2002 of a heart attack while in Las Vegas.
