Years later, Kerr joined the coaching staff of the historically dominant United States team for the Tokyo Olympics. Despite losing their first game to France, the USA recovered to win their next two games and advance beyond the group stage. Led by a scoring outburst by Kevin Durant throughout the knockout rounds, the United States cruised to their fourth straight Olympic gold medal and 16th overall.
