G. Allen Lainson founded the studio in 1923, and Peter J. Berkeley bought the Allen G. Lainson Studios in 1928, and operated it with his son and grandson in the lobby of the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado
Berkeley was nominated for a Pulitzer for this Portrait of General Eisenhower
The Berkeleys worked for 67-year tenure at the historic hotel, photographing a stream of famous faces f
The official presidential portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower was probably the best known photo taken by the senior Berkeley in 1952, and it earned him a nomination for a Pulitzer Prize
Portrait measures about 11 x 14" and is in good vintage condition
