This model ships in a retail window box.
This model of the Mustang Boss 429 is about 7.75 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2.25 inches high. It is highly detailed, with beautiful body paint and accurate markings. Motormax makes very high quality models and this one is not the exception. Headlights, taillights and turn signals are made of separate plastic pieces which makes the whole model look very realistic.
Doors can open to reveal a very detailed and accurate interior with some touches of color on parts such as seats, seat belt buckles and even on the instrument panel. The hood can open to show the engine.
The Boss 429 was produced in limited numbers in 1969 and 1970. Its origin is twofold: allow Ford to homologate its new Ford 385 engine-based semi-hemispherical 429 V8 for NASCAR racing, and to provide a big block alternative to the 5.0 L and under Trans Am Racing bred small block Boss 302 Mustang.
