(Internal #U-352) This is a synthetic blue "Mermaid glass" moonstone hatpin with two beads, 12mm with gold tone alloy filigree caps and bead accents on new pin shaft, about 8" long, with end protector included.
Synthetic blue "Mermaid glass" moonstone beads - glow like lit from within with a blue-white shimmer.
Hatpins were used extensively in days gone by to keep ladies' hats in place. Now, though some still use them, they are often collected as antiques or just a beautiful accent, displayed in special hatpin holders, flower vases, added to plants, or displayed in vintage hat collections. Use your imagination! Some shorten them and put one or two through a jacket lapel or a loose weave scarf.
