Item description
This is for a box of Seasoned Pecan Competition Cut size chunks 2 1/2 inches by 2 to 3 inches wide. This is center cut wood with no bark at all. This pecan is from the rich soil of Mississippi Delta. This wood has the Ideal moisture level for optimum smoke about 10-20% This 11x8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Medium Priority Mail Box has about 30 to 35 pieces in the box and is about 9 to 10 lbs.
NOTE: All this wood is custom cut and split and the ends and the bark have been cut off 1/4 inch so there is no chain saw oil. Bark on the wood is no good to cook with anyway with all the stuff in the air and grows on it. At 2017 Memphis in May World Championship BBQ Contest 8 teams used this wood and came up with a 3rd - 4th - 5th and 13th in whole hog and 11th in shoulder and a 11th in ribs. Excellent Showing......
PECAN - Sweet and nutty and mild with a flavor similar to hickory. Tasty with a subtle character. Good with poultry, beef, pork and cheese. Pecan is an all-around superior smoking wood. I JUST FINISHED 2ND IN THE WORLD IN WHOLE HOG WITH ACC WOOD IN MEMPHIS IN MAY WORLD BBQ CONTEST 2018. THERE WAS A 1ST PLACE RIB, 2ND PLACE HOG AND 3RD PLACE RIB AND A 4TH PLACE HOG AT MEMPHIS IN MAY CONTEST 2018. Just finish 2nd place whole hog at MIN 2022
